How Petty Should We Get?

Is it Valentines Day?  I am notoriously bad with holidays so please forgive me for mot picking a sweet lovey topic for today's post.

While I was on my 'vacation' from the blog and since I came back I've noticed that the most popular post I've ever written is "Let's Get Petty", about my search for a natural way of dealing with actinic keratosis.  Well here's a new round in the saga.  Just how much petty spurge sap should one use?

Petty Spurge that is.

Let me explain.  You see, last summer my husband looked at me and said, "What's that above your lip?"  I hadn't paid any attention before that but I realized that there was a sort of flaky patch above my lip on the left side.  Hummmph.  I kept an eye on it and noticed that it changed a bit from time to time.  Sometimes it would scab up a little and when the scab would come off there would be almost nothing there for a few days until it started flaking again.

So I went online to look at skin cancer.  I looked at pictures until I found something that looked about like what I had,

read the accompanying article and decided (after a bit more research) that it was an Actinic Keratosis. 

Another Petty Report

Are you all wondering whatever happened with the actinic keratosis on my upper lip?  If not you may not have read my earlier post "Let's Get Petty".  So go read that and then read this.

It took about a week or so for the scab from the first round of treatment to come off.  At that point the spot looked pretty normal, however I noticed there was a tiny hard spot under the skin.  I wasn't sure whether it was just scar tissue or whether it was a few cells that were missed by the treatment.  So decided to try a few more treatments.
